These two parables focus on the core message of Jesus. Wherever Jesus went he talked about the Kingdom of God. This is the heartbeat of his life and mission and everything flows from the fact that Jesus was bringing the Kingdom of God into reality. Jesus tells these stories to unpack, what is the Kingdom of God all about? How should we live in light of the Kingdom being here and now? These two parables highlight the mystery and small beginnings of the Kingdom.
