Plays Well with Others

Jesus’s representatives are not to be paralyzed by rejection. Shake the dust from your shoes and move on (Luke 10:11). Our task is to witness, not to control the response to our witness. But now, the thing in this text that catches my eye is that little detail at the beginning: Jesus sends out the seventy-two, two-by-two. The work we are called to do for him, we are called to do together.
