The Empty Tomb

The tomb is empty. The resurrection of Jesus makes the gospel story not merely a great experience to read but a life-changing power. Apart from the resurrection, Jesus was just another Jewish Rabbi who went off the rails - apart from the resurrection, Jesus was just another wannabe Messiah who Rome executed - they come, and they go. Jesus is different. Jesus walking out of the empty tomb offered a whole new history of the world. Everything changes in light of this moment.
