At First, we recognize that people come from a wide variety of faith backgrounds and understandings of the Christian faith. For that reason, not every aspect of every worship service will be for everyone. Our hope is that you will see that we are all one in Christ as we worship the Lord together.
What is the structure of a worship service?
We follow a liturgical worship style that typically includes praise and worship, call and response readings, Scripture reading, a message or sermon, and on special Sundays, taking of communion.
Does your worship include traditional or contemporary music?
The answer is yes. We have a unique blend of instruments and voices in our worship services in order to help everyone praise God with one another.
How should I dress?
There is no dress code at First. You may wear whatever feels comfortable to you.
Is childcare provided?
Yes, we have both infant and toddler nurseries at every Sunday worship service and Sunday School hour. Occasionally the nursery is also available during special events, such as concerts.
How long will the service last?
Typically a service begins promptly at 9:30 AM in order to welcome those who view the service on livestream. The service usually ends between 10:30 AM and 10:45 AM.
Take the Next Step
The best way to find out more about us is to visit in person and learn more about First! We would welcome the opportunity to meet you, at our welcome desk (located near the main entrance) after the 9:30 AM worship service. Following worship, we gather for coffee and fellowship. You are welcome to attend the educational opportunities which are provided for children, youth, and adults, as well as all of our other events throughout the week. These events are listed on our “Events” page.
